What to Expect

At Belcroft Bible Church, we strive to be a local gathering of Christ followers who are growing, ministering, and living with a high view of God, a sufficient view of Scripture, and a humble view of man. This means you should expect a place where everything that is said and done is for God’s glory alone and not for man’s personal praise. Therefore, God’s Word and the preaching of it is central to all that we do both congregationally and individually, and so the bulk of the worship service is given to the proclamation of the Scriptures. Prayer is also foundational to our life and ministry as we live in utter dependence on God’s divine sovereign grace. Thus, multiple prayers are offered by the elders throughout our Lord’s Day service as we seek God’s help to grow in and honor Him in all things, at all times.

We are a multigenerational congregation where the truth of Titus 2 abounds in every ministry, including our corporate gatherings, as the older seek to train, to worship alongside, and to serve with the younger. Reciprocally, the younger seek to respect, to listen to, and to learn from those who are older in the Lord. Our corporate worship music is driven by the Word and not the world, as we sing congregationally both ancient and modern hymns that are scripturally saturated and theologically rich. Fellowship is a vital component in healthy family life, and therefore you can expect gospel-driven unity and relational communion that happens organically throughout the week and every Sunday, as people eagerly seek to love on one another and encourage each other through Word-saturated conversations and selfless service.

If you are looking for a church where you can personally grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ through serious study and joyful submission to His Word, then you have found the right place. We are in no way a perfect gathering, but we are humbly being purified through His perfect Word, and it is a great joy for us, who truly believe, to journey for God’s glory together as brothers and sisters in Christ!
