A Prayer for Every Believer - Part 2

What does it actually mean to have the power of God at work within us? In Ephesians 1:20-23, Paul anchors our confidence not in abstract theology but in the most concrete and world-altering event in human history: the resurrection and exaltation of Jesus Christ. The same immeasurable power that reversed the curse of sin and death, that raised Christ from the grave and seated him at the right hand of the Father, is the very power that now dwells within every believer. This is not a minor spiritual encouragement tucked into a letter, it is the foundation upon which the entire Christian walk is built. We are not called to obey God and then left to figure out how on our own. We are given the power first, and then called to walk in it. When we struggle to love sacrificially, to pursue unity, to put sin to death, or to speak boldly about the Gospel, the answer is not to try harder. The answer is to remember what is already ours. The resurrection is not just a past event we celebrate, it is the living guarantee of the strength we need today.
